Definitions of Project and Proposal

For readability, "proposal" is used to refer to both projects and proposals.

What's the difference?

A proposal is what Bonneville Power Administration solicits prior to each funding review, where sponsors describe the work and budgets for which they want funding.

A proposal becomes a project after it has been approved through CBFWA and NWPPC review processes, and BPA agrees to fund it.

How do you tell whether it's a proposal or project?

For any review processes that are completed, if you click a project title you will usually see links at the top of the project to take you to CBFWA and ISRP reviews. The reviews will indicate whether the proposal was recommended for funding.

So whenever you see "proposal" in these pages, think both project and proposal.
